Mais uma edição do Academy Awards chegou ao fim, com Uma Batalha Após a Outra (One Battle After Another) sendo o grande destaque da noite, levando seis estatuetas, incluindo Melhor Filme e Melhor Direção.

Pecadores (Sinners) também teve grande destaque. Michael B. Jordan levou o prêmio de Melhor Ator, superando o favorito Timothée Chalamet.

A cerimônia foi apresentada por Conan O’Brien e contou com momentos emocionantes, incluindo homenagens feitas por Billy Crystal ao cineasta Rob Reiner. Outro momento marcante foi a apresentação de Barbra Streisand, que cantou The Way We Were em homenagem ao ator Robert Redford.
